Youth Ministry
History Of Youth Souls For Christ
Nigerian Youth Souls for Christ (NYSC} which is the Youth Ministry of the Latter Glory Evangelical
Ministries) is a vision conceived and initiated by our Father in the Lord, Bishop D. O. Adeyemo in the 1980’s. The vision was birthed to influence the youth to be vibrant for the Lord and to operate the “Catch Them Young” system.
Several years ago, when Latter Glory Evangelical Ministries gained open doors to Porto Novo in the Republic of Benin (another country in West Africa), the name of the Youth Ministry was changed from Nigerian Youth Souls for Christ Ministry to Youth Souls for Christ Ministry. The annual programmes of the Youth Ministry include Youth Week (which holds every June at various parishes), Youth Conference (which holds every August at the Campground), Youth Evangelism (which holds every October at various parishes), and many life-inspiring programmes.
The past Presidents of the Youth Ministry were Rev. Barrister Festus O. Olaobaju (1995-2000), Rev. Joshua O. Oyekanmi (2000-2005), Pst. Barrister Olusegun A. Alamu (2005-2016) and Pst. Samuel O. Agboola (2016-2022). The current President of the Youth Ministry is Pst. Dr. Ayokunle O. Familusi. The past Presidents of the Youth Ministry with their co-executives had contributed immensely to advancing the Youth Ministry in Latter Glory Evangelical Ministries. Similarly, the current President and his co-executives are building on the works of past youth leaders with a resourceful and an
innovative leadership style.
